He has a background in helping patients with a wide range of orthopedic issues that range from reducing musculoskeletal pain, improving balance, rehabilitation after surgery, and helping athletes return to sports or improve their performance. When not helping patients, he enjoys running, hiking, backpacking, camping, rock climbing, and traveling.
Brailey Derreberry, PTA
Brailey graduated from Southwestern Community College in May 2013 with an Associates degree in Physical Therapist Assisting. After graduating, she moved to the Asheville area where she enjoys any outdoor activities in the beautiful mountains in which she was born and raised. After shadowing a Physical Therapist during high school, she knew this field would provide the opportunity to share her love and passion of helping those in need on a daily basis. She was delighted to join the Mills River Physical Therapy team in 2013 and become a part of this wonderful community.
Brittany received her Diploma in Office Administration with a concentration in Medical Office from Blue Ridge Community College in 2014. She is drawn to the balance of teamwork and independence provided by a small business environment – making Mills River Physical Therapy the perfect fit. Brittany enjoys helping others in any way she can. She will happily answer patient questions, such as scheduling, insurance, and billing concerns to the best of her ability. One of her favorite things about being at the front desk is getting to know the patients. She will welcome you with a smile and gladly strike up a conversation. When away from her desk, she spends her time with her boyfriend, Daniel, and their 120 pound Rottweiler, Harley. She enjoys cooking, fishing, and weight lifting.
